“Private Wealth & Family Office” training
Like the other major European merchant towns (such as London, Paris and Florence), banking activities in Geneva date back to the 14th century. A range of skills and competencies have been built, over time, to confirm Geneva and Switzerland as a financial hub. That is reflected today in the transparency and reliability of the Swiss Franc and the financial system.
Thanks to a partnership with the Private Wealth & Family Office - Swiss Certified (PWFO) association, the CCIG is offering its Members a training programme allowing them to acquire the basics to becoming a private wealth manager.
The programme covers a wide range of topics through the perspective of a PWFO practitioner and aims to provide a clear study for all those interested in the subject of private wealth services to individuals and families.
The course has been developed by a specialist who has practised as a "Family Office" for over twenty-five years with clients such as private bankers, entrepreneurs, and wealthy individuals and their families.
The programme uses a project-based approach within an e-learning platform. The course is designed around 70 to 75 hours of study (12 modules of approximately 6 hours), divided between independent online learning, training webinars, one-to-one coaching, practical case sessions, review sessions, and an examination (duration 3 hours).
The details of the program can be found here.

Blockchain is a technology for storing and transmitting information without a controlling body and is one of the areas that entrepreneurs should know about. Thanks to a partnership with MTC Training & Consulting, the CCIG offers its members courses and certifications on this technology, at a preferential rate.
Entitled "Blockchain for business – non-technical", "Blockchain technical", "Blockchain Specialties" and "Enterprise Bundle", the courses and certifications offered are available online and in English. They are aimed at anyone with an interest in Blockchain technology, in particular:
• Decision-makers in SMEs, multinational companies, and international organizations
• Those responsible for the operational development of the company
• Marketing/sales managers
• Project managers
• Those responsible for IT services and security
• Managers and developers of IT applications
• System, local network, and Internet administrators (cybersecurity)
• Technical managers of the "data science" environment.
Classes are delivered online, are “self-paced”, either at their own pace or with a trainer in a virtual classroom. On request, some courses can be given in a company with a face-to-face trainer. Certifications usually take place at a Pearson Vue testing centre (Geneva, Lausanne). Because of the current health situation, all examinations take place online.
Members of the CCIG benefit from a preferential rate (- 15%) on the prices displayed.
