CITES certificates

The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) safeguards the survival of animal and plant species, therefore also preserving biodiversity. CITES certificates guarantee the protection of over 30 000 wild species.

Advantages

Simplified formalities

The CCIG is authorised by the federal authorities to issue CITES certificates, via the Internet. These certificates concern, for example, crocodile hide watch straps.

Globally recognised know-how

With almost 15 000 CITES certificates issued each year, Geneva has confirmed its position as an unrivalled global centre for international commerce.

How is a CITES certificate obtained ?

Certificates are issued directly by the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office in Bern but may be printed at the CCIG.
