Eurofighter for Switzerland: Creating Sustainable Value Together

  • Tuesday 24 March 2020 07:30-11:30
  • CCIG, bd du Théâtre 4, Geneva
  • Organisation : AIRBUS DS Switzerland GmbH, in collaboration with GRPM, Swissmem/SwissASD and the CCIG

Subject to new COVID-19 restrictions, the event is postponed to a later date.

Switzerland is renewing its Air Defence capabilities through the ongoing AIR2030 program, which includes the procurement of a new fighter aircraft. Both the general cooperation with Swiss industry and the offset proposal form a sizeable part of the program’s requirement, with particular focus on STIB (security-related technology and industry base) business areas.

Switzerland’s procurement agency armasuisse has invited four contenders to submit their bids, including the German government together with Airbus, its industrial partner. Our proposal to securing the Swiss airspace is built around the Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft. Eurofighter is organized through a consortium, which develops and produces the aircraft and which consists of three of Europe’s leading defence suppliers: Airbus, BAE Systems and Leonardo, and thus provides access to their vast supply chains.

The attendance of this event is likely to be of interest to export oriented Swiss companies and academic institutions with focus on STIB (security-related technology and industrial base) business as defined by armasuisse with business potentials in the respective domain. The event does not foresee B2B meetings.
